We process personal data only as necessary to operate this website, to respond to inquiries you send us and, if you subscribe, to send you our newsletter. We do not use advertising cookies or profiling. For aggregate audience measurement we use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service, described below.

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages hosting and content-delivery network). When you visit the site, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data your browser transmits — including your IP address, the requested resource, referrer, browser and operating-system type, and the time of the request — to deliver the site reliably and securely and to defend against attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, stable service). Log data is stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes and then deleted. Where a provider processes data on our behalf, a data-processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are also covered by the EU standard contractual clauses.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (provided by Cloudflare, Inc., see above) to understand overall usage of the site (page views, referrers, popular pages). It is privacy-first and cookieless: it sets no cookies, uses no client-side fingerprinting or cross-site identifiers, and builds no visitor profiles, so it processes no personal data requiring consent.

When you submit the contact form (or write to us by email), we process the data you provide — name, email, company, your selected segment and your message — together with technical metadata such as the originating page and any campaign parameters, in order to handle your inquiry and route it to the right person.

Form submissions are transmitted via Web3Forms, a form-to-email service operated by Web3Creative (Kerala, India) on servers in the United States, which forwards them to our mailbox; according to the provider, submission content is not stored. Our email, including messages you send us directly, is hosted by Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland).

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding). We retain inquiry data only as long as necessary to process your request and to meet statutory retention obligations.

If you sign up for our biweekly briefing (in the footer or below an article), your email address is sent to defense-valley.news, our market-intelligence site operated by us, which passes it to our newsletter provider Buttondown (Buttondown, LLC, Richmond, Virginia, USA). You then receive a confirmation email and are only subscribed once you click the link in it (double opt-in). The provider records the time of sign-up and confirmation as proof of your consent.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (your consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — via the unsubscribe link in every issue or by email to us. We use your address only to send the newsletter, until you unsubscribe.

We do not use cookies that require consent. This site sets no cookies; Cloudflare Web Analytics (see above) is cookieless.
